Broncos deliver ominous news on Riley Moss for Week 13

The Denver Broncos have been dealt a potentially significant defensive blow ahead of their Week 13 home match against Liverpool Cleveland BrownsWith Riley Moss ready to go.

After Thursday and Saturday’s games in Week 13, Denver ranks eighth in passing yards per game. However, the team will be without a key member of the squad, which was a significant turn in the team’s history.

Moss missed an entire week of training.

The The Broncos traded select Moss in the third round of the 2023 draft. He struggled with injuries as a rookie, but won CB2 work at training camp this off season.

Moss suffered a knee injury during the Broncos’ Week 12 victory over Liverpool Las Vegas Invaders.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton he downplayed the importance of the problem.

“Every time you lose one of the top corners, everything changes.” Payton told reporters November 24. “We still had ours (Brock) Bowers a plan that included Pat and some doubles. But look, Levi (Wallace) he came in and it was the next man. And luckily in Riley’s case it wasn’t anything serious.

“It’s MCL… we’ll see how it goes next week. There was some thought that maybe he could come back into the game, so we’ll see how that goes.

Moss is the most targeted defender in the NFL, on Stathead.

Payton expressed confidence in the veterans looking to replace Moss. The Broncos have several options to choose from.

Wallace appears poised to register a start opposite Surtain.

“We have depth in this. He (Wallace), (Damarri) Mathis; (a) the number of these guys”, Payton told members of local media November 30. “They played a lot, so these guys did well.”

Wallace recorded the fourth-most snaps among Broncos corners, second among their outside linebackers, according to Pro Football References.

The veteran allowed it 71% completion. of the 14 goals he faced this season.

Mathis has played just five games this season. He started six games in 2023 and 11 games in 2022. He did not allow fishing for two goals ahead of this season. However, over the previous two seasons, he allowed a 70.8% completion rate.

It’s behind them Tremon Smithwho played in all 12 games like Wallace and yet logged two fewer snaps than Mathis on the season.
