A man was found dead on the side of the road following reports of a shooting in Robeson County

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) – Authorities in North Carolina are investigating after a 20-year-old man was found dead Saturday.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said officers were called to East Green Springs Road in Parkton in reference to an incident involving a weapon. The sheriff’s office also noted that the incident occurred

Officers reportedly discovered two homes damaged in the exchange of gunfire.

According to the sheriff’s office, 20-year-old Brandon Deal was found dead in the roadway near the homes that were shot at.

The services informed that the investigation was ongoing and that the identity of the person involved in the incident had been established.
