Alabama, Auburn players fight after game during the Iron Bowl

Alabama AND Chestnut football In the third quarter, the players got into a brawl Saturday Iron Cup. After the game ended, DeVonta Smith and Malachi Moore were assessed personal fouls for the Crimson Tide.

The game started with an incomplete pass from Auburn’s Payton Thorne that was dropped by Malcolm Simmons. A fight then started on the Auburn sideline.

Smith appeared to be the first Alabama player to take part in the fight. Others involved from Alabama’s side include Jihaad Campbell and Jordan Renaud.

The most committed Tiger seemed to be KeAndre Lambert-Smith from the Auburn team.

Officials separated the two teams and Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack ran across the field to help. Auburn was not punished for its role in the brawl.

“I think both players (Alabama’s Smith and Auburn’s Lambert-Smith) should have been punished,” ABC rules analyst Bill LeMonnier said during the game’s telecast. “It’s also time to send the message that you need to control your team, which could cost you disqualification.”

Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer was visibly furious after the game and apparently wanted the Tigers punished as well. After the play, Auburn continued to drive down the field and scored a touchdown, cutting the deficit to 28-14

The match is broadcast on ABC.
