At least a dozen people died on Georgian roads over Thanksgiving

So far, at least 12 people have lost their lives traveling on Georgian roads during the Thanksgiving holiday travel period.

The Georgia Department of Public Safety tracks the number of fatal crashes statewide during the holiday season. The Thanksgiving period runs from Wednesday through Sunday night at 11:59 p.m

Earlier this week Channel 2’s Michael Doudna I looked at the data for 2023 and found out about this Thanksgiving was the deadliest day of the year on Georgian roads, resulting in the death of 16 people.

He also found out that There were more accidents reported on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving in 2023 than on any other day year with over 1,500 accidents.
