Saints WR takes first step after surgery

New Orleans Saints receiver Rashid Shaheed has reached a major milestone. On Friday evening, Shaheed posted a clip on Instagram of himself walking. This film documents the first steps he took no help since surgery

Two things can be noticed from the short clip. Shaheed walks without any brace and goes at a pretty good pace for a guy who’s only six weeks removed from knee surgery.

Shaheed suffered a knee injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7. The winger underwent meniscus surgery shortly afterwards and was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Of course, he won’t be back this season, but Shaheed seems to be recovering quickly. He is one of two wingers I will not play this season. The jury is still out on whether Chris Olave will return from the concussion that also landed him on injured reserve.

There is no position group more plagued by injuries than the wide receiver room.
