From Mirror staff reports

An Everett woman has been arrested for allegedly punching a state trooper in the face.

Court documents say an officer took 22-year-old Olivia Brooke Brennan’s car keys to prevent her from driving after giving her two shots of Narcan for a suspected overdose.

Brennan was arraigned Nov. 22 by Magisterial District Judge Tonya Osman on one felony count of aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.

Brennan posted $50,000 bail following a Nov. 26 bail hearing, during which Brennan’s bail conditions were changed to include a non-monetary condition of undergoing drug treatment.

According to the report, a state trooper responded to the Sheetz parking lot, 9402 Lincoln Highway, Snake Spring Township, Bedford County, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Nov. 24, for a report of a possibly intoxicated female behind the wheel of a vehicle.

The officer found the woman, later identified as Brennan, slumped in her seat and was unable to wake her. He also saw controlled substances and drug paraphernalia on display in Brennan’s vehicle. Court documents say the officer believed Brennan was overdosing on opioids.

The officer administered two doses of Narcan to Brennan. Then, as she began to wake up, the officer attempted to secure the keys to her vehicle, which were still in the ignition. The report states that Brennan then punched the officer in the face.

Brennan was arrested but refused to cooperate with police.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 4 in Bedford County Central Court.
