On Saturday, family members said a youth from Telangana’s Khammam district was shot dead by miscreants at a gas station in the US where he worked.

Sai Teja Nukarapu (22) was shot by attackers at a gas station near Chicago in the early morning hours of Saturday, Indian time, BRS MLC Madhusudan Thatha said, citing initial information from the US.

MLC officials, who called the victim’s parents at their residence near Khammam, said Sai Teja was off duty when the incident occurred but was helping a friend who had asked him to stay for some time. My friend left for work.

Sai Teja completed her BBA in India and is pursuing her MBA in the USA. One of the victim’s relatives told the media that the deceased worked part-time. “It is sad that Sai Teja was shot dead while he stayed at his workplace to help a friend,” the relative said.

MLC officials said he has spoken to members of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) for help in connection with the incident. The body is expected to reach India next week.
